Robertsons celebrate 65 years

Villard and Hazel Robertson of Athens, celebrated their 65th anniversary Sept. 12 at the Owens Senior Center in Athens. The celebration was hosted by their children. Mr. and Mrs. Robertson were married Sept. 9, 1944, in Bethel Community in Lauderdale County by Brother Tom McConnel. They have six children, Randy Robertson of Athens, Monte Robertson of Arab, Lewis Robertson of Decatur, Rocky Robertson of Town Creek, Cindy Standford of Lester, and the late Brenda Kyle; and 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
