Investigators sift through the wreckage left behind by a Nov. 14 collision between a Dodge Dynasty sedan and an Aviagen tractor-trailer on Alabama 127 about 500 yards north of the intersection of Jefferson and Elm streets in Athens. Both passengers in the Dodge were injured and taken by MedFlight to Huntsville Hospital. The driver, James Stanley Pipes III, 49, of Athens died Friday, while his passenger, Clifford Allen Mastin, 56, of Athens, died Monday morning. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Jackie Towe, 59, of Elkmont was not injured.
