Library, Trinity School, single-stream recycling to move forward

ATHENS — City Council member agreed to move forward on three major projects Monday — construction of the new Athens-Limestone County Library, preservation of Fort-Henderson/Trinity School and conversion to single-stream recycling for the city.

Council voted 5-0 to allow the mayor to proceed with paying $2.4 million for the first phase of construction of the new library off Jefferson Street in Athens.
