New patrol car from 2013 rodeo proceeds 2.jpg

Miss Limestone Rodeo April Brown presents the keys for a new patrol vehicle to Lt. Guy Simmons. The vehicle was purchased with proceeds from this year’s 31st annual Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo. Sheriff Mike Blakely, left, and Chief Deputy Randy King, right, were on hand to take possession of the $32,000 vehicle, which is fully equipped with emergency lights and sirens, and multi-channel radios. No budget funds or tax dollars were used to acquire this vehicle or its equipment. This becomes the 33rd vehicle purchased solely with rodeo funds in the 31-year history of this community event.
