Victoria Black and Mahaley Swanner, above, and other members of T.R.A.I.L. (Together Renewing And Improving Limestone) volunteered for Spirit of Athens to help put up Christmas greenery downtown. T.R.A.I.L. is an organization for eighth-to 12th-graders from Athens city and Limestone County schools. They are funded by the Dekko Foundation and support the community by funding projects such as children's activities at the Grease Festival and printing the Athens Saturday Market children's activity booklet. The group also adopted the downtown area through Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful and, after cleaning up large amounts of cigarette butts downtown, T.R.A.I.L. awarded a grant to KALB to purchase ash receptacles.
