Ardmore, Reed ready

Tigers have high hopes entering 2nd round

ARDMORE — Ardmore hopes to stay hot Friday when the Tigers host Madison County for a second-round playoff series. The team is coming off a first-round series sweep in which they scored 30 runs over two games to advance to the next round.

Led by Vanderbilt commitment Cody Reed, the Tigers have lofty expectations this postseason.

“All we’ve got to do is just do our thing and we’ve got the team to go a long way,” said Reed. “If all of our pitchers pitch well and we hit like we can, we can probably win it all. This has been together since we were all little. We’ve come up through Little League winning county.”
