Hatton 6

Tanner led 39-0 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way in another blowout region victory. The Rattlers rushed for more than 300 yards, blocked a punt and returned a punt for a touchdown in the team effort.

Cullman 41

Athens 14

Athens couldn’t get out of its own way in a turnover-filled first half that resulted in the hosts falling into 27-7 hole at halftime that proved too much to overcome. Athens has lost six consecutive games, all to playoff-bound teams.

Madison County 75

Ardmore 14

Madison County flexed its muscles in a 61-point victory over Ardmore to claim a 4A Region 7 title. Jordan Chunn scored five touchdowns for the home team, including four in the first half.

Colbert County 56

Clements 30

Clements remains winless for the season, but managed to put together a solid game offensively. The Colts scored the most points in a game since their opening loss to West Limestone.

Hartselle 47

East Limestone 7

Two top 10 opponents in as many weeks proved too much for the Indians to overcome in a lopsided loss to Hartselle. The Tigers jumped out to a 33-0 halftime lead to put the game away early.

Deshler 56,

Elkmont 6

Elkmont’s playoff hopes were dashed in Tuscumbia in a 50-point loss to Deshler. The Tigers are the third-best team in an ultra-competitive 3A Region 8.

West Limestone 49

Priceville 41

Logan Pugh rushed for a season-high 218 yards to keep West Limestone’s playoff hopes alive in 4A Region 8. The Wildcats amassed 475 yards on 49 carries.
