Harvey was told he would have to sit “three to four weeks” because of the concussion. That turned into six weeks and Harvey was informed he would only be able to kick for the remainder of the season.
“After I got banged up so much, I had to accept I would just have to kick,” said Harvey. “It was hard at first, but I eventually accepted what I had to do.”
The move proved a benefit for Harvey when the senior attracted the attention of UNA’s coaching staff. Harvey will sign with the Lions as a special teams player, capable of punting, kicking or even playing holder at the next level.
