— TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Kemoni Miller rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns to lead Madison Academy to a 31-14 victory over Leeds Thursday in the Class 3A championship game.
Madison Academy (15-0), which claimed its first state title last season, had 364 yards, all on the ground.
Miller had 20 carries, with TD runs of 1 and 10 yards.
Kerryon Johnson, who scored three touchdowns in last year's championship game, had seven carries for 93 yards. He scored on a 43-yard run.
Tadarryl Marshall Jr. led Leeds (12-5). He completed 11 of 23 passes for 147 yards and a 28-yard touchdown to Jacoby Lockhart. He also ran 25 times for 139 yards.
Madison Academy led 14-0 at halftime. Lockhart's touchdown catch with 50 seconds left in the third quarter cut Leeds' deficit to 21-14.
Nathan Geis answered with a 45-yard field goal and LaMarukus Martin added a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
