Tanner cruises into title game at Limestone County Tournament

TANNER — Sydney Houston poured in 25 points as host Tanner upset No. 1 seeded East Limestone in the Limestone County Tournament Thursday night. Tanner jumped out to a 32-17 halftime lead and held on for a 57-43 victory.

Kelsey Houston added 13 points for Tanner. Brennan Crabtree was East Limestone’s leading scorer with 13 points.

Tanner will play the winner of Clements and West Limestone in the championship game Saturday at 6 p.m.

Tanner had four players reached double figures as the Rattlers cruised into the championship game of the Limestone County Tournament with a lopsided win over Ardmore Thursday.

Greg Maclin led the way with 17 points. Jonathan Fletcher added 14 while Fred Rich scored 11 and Jace Haggermaker 12. Tanner outscored Ardmore 21-9 in the second quarter to gain a 22 point halftime lead that proved insurmountable for Ardmore.
