E. Limestone picks up win at Ardmore

Tanner girls lose battle of top ten teams

— East Limestone led by 20 at halftime and never let up in a 77-37 blowout at Ardmore Monday night. Jordon Gandy led all scorers with 24 points. Adam Saylor and Devin Davis each scored 15 for East Limestone.

Ardmore’s leading scorer was Brandon Jones with 15 points.

East Limestone travels to Cullman Friday with an opportunity to clinch the regular season area title and right to host the postseason tournament.

Lexington 57

It took overtime, but Tanner finally put away Lexington to remain undefeated in Class 2A Area 15.  Tanner held the Golden Bears to two points in overtime and were led by Desmond Love’s 22 points.

Lexington’s leading scorer was Trey Craig with 11 points. With the win, Tanner earned the right to host the postseason area tournament.

In a defensive battle of top 10 teams, No. 4 Lexington edged No. 6 Tanner. The win earned Lexington a crucial area victory and the upper hand in the right to host the area tournament. Lexington plays at Tanner Friday in a game that could decide the regular season area champion.
