LIMESTONE COUNTY TOURNAMENT: Indians’ press too much for Clements (WITH VIDEO)

East Limestone advances to championship game

ELKMONT — Clements center Lance Kephart scored a game-high 24 points, but it was not enough as East Limestone advanced to the Limestone County Tournament Championship game with a 68-49 win Thursday.

East Limestone used a full-court press for most of the first half to take a 42-27 halftime lead.

The Indians led by 10 after the opening quarter and used an 8-0 to start the second to go up by as many as 20 points in the first half.

Adam Saylor’s 3-pointer gave East Limestone its biggest lead of the half at 36-16 before Clements put together a 9-5 run to close the half.

Devin Davis scored a team-high 18 points for East Limestone while Jordon Gandy added 15. Carson Cook had 12 points for Clements

East Limestone will play the winner of Tanner-West Limestone Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the tournament championship.
