Carden, Hooie are top runners at Limestone County Cross-Country meet

ATHENS — Athens' Tate Carden and West Limestone's Reilly Hooie were crowned as the top runners in Limestone County Tuesday. Carden finished with a time of 17:03 to win the varsity boys race at Blue Springs Elementary school Tuesday afternoon.

Clements' Mack van Wagnen was just behind Carden with a time of 17:25, followed by Elkmont's Chance Bailey (17:36).

Hooie's time of 21:44 was the best in the varsity girls race. Elkmont's Samantha Pressnell was second witha time of 22:16 followed by West Limestone's Siara Serrato (22:16). West Limestone's girls team won the team race followed by Athens Bible and Elkmont.
