RUSSELLVILLE — Elkmont used a barrage of running backs that rushed for more than 200 yards in a 24-8 win over Clements Friday. The Red Devils had four players rush for at least 20 yards to pick up their second region win of the season.

The visitors jumped out to an early lead when running back Dustin Ward reached paydirt with a 14 yard run on the Red Devils’ first possession. Josh Ferrazzas opened up the second half with a bang for the Devils, taking the kickoff 82 yards to the end zone. Later in the quarter, sophomore kicker Alexis Hernandez showed off his great leg with a 37 yard field goal. But Clements showed no signs of quitting. The Colts’ got on the board in the fourth quarter when Jimmy Marsh broke four tackles down the sideline for a 13 yard score.

Renew and Ward led the rushing attack for the Red Devils. Renew collected 64 yards on 8 carries while Ward carried 5 times for 55 yards and a score.
