FEARLESS PREDICTIONS: Week 4

Six county teams hit the road in week four

(Continued)

Series history: Elkmont leads 17-10

Last Year: Elkmont won 28-24

News Courier Prediction: Elkmont 35, West Morgan 20

East Limestone at Lawrence County

Red Devils Stadium, Moulton

Preview: East Limestone would never have imagined an 0-3 start back in early August, but games against Cullman, Madison County and Russellville will do that. Despite the losses, senior Jordon Gandy has lived up to the billing, scoring four different ways for the Indians this season. Lawrence County has shown the ability to score points, but is giving up 40 points per game. East Limestone has won four straight in the series.

Series history: Teams are tied 6-6

Last Year: East Limestone won 48-6

News Courier Prediction: East Limestone 41, Lawrence County 20

Tanner at Lexington

McMeans Stadium, Lexington

Preview: Tanner hits the road for the third time in four weeks to take on an undefeated Lexington team averaging 37 points per game. Tanner proved it can score as well in back-to-back region blowouts after suffering a rare defeat in its opening game. The Rattlers look to finally have things rolling and should score plenty against the Golden Bears.

Series history: Tanner leads 19-10

Last Year: Tanner won 49-7

News Courier Prediction: Tanner 41, Lexington 13

West Limestone at East Lawrence

Eagle Stadium, Caddo

Preview: West Limestone looks to get back on track against an East Lawrence team that has suffered three heavy defeats to start the season. In their past two meetings, these teams have combined for 68 points per game. Although neither team has lit up the scoreboard so far, this one could be another shootout.

Series history: West Limestone leads 4-1

Last Year: West Limestone won 36-27

News Courier Prediction: West Limestone 33, East Lawrence 20

Clements at

Lauderdale County

Robert Earl Grisham Stadium, Rogersville

Preview: The Colts can’t catch a break with the way their schedule is set up this season. After rebounding from an opening season loss with a win at West Morgan, Clements hosted the No. 1 team in 3A last week and will travel to a Lauderdale County team that could move into the top ten with a win.

Series history: LCHS leads 15-4

Last Year: LCHS won 48-14

News Courier Prediction: Lauderdale County 34, Clements 13
