County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Friday and Saturday:

• Sarah Janeen Howse, 31, of 107 W.D. Harvey Road, Falkville, two counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Zachary Wayne Weatherford, 21, of 17812 Ellis Drive, Athens, third-degree receiving stolen property and first-degree possession of marijuana

• Michael Eric Adams, 24, of 20944 Allen Road, Athens, two counts of third-degree domestic violence (harassment) and reckless endangerment

• Justin Wayne Bell, 25, of 1007 W. Washington St., Athens, third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief

• Laderek Shantell Benford, 34, of 801 Brownsferry St., Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana, bond revoked on previous charge of driving under the influence

• Stanley Dwight Carter, 51, of 12201 Edith Way, Athens, probation revoked on previous conviction for third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Adam Troy Chambers, 26, of 12037 John Way, Athens, probation revoked on previous conviction for third-degree burglary

• James Wendall Harris Jr., 47, of 1910 Old Fairway Road, Huntsville, speeding, open container of alcohol, driving with a revoked license and DUI

• Christin Leigh Romine, 41, of 401 Camelot Drive, Athens, possession of a controlled substance

• Ray Douglas Smith, 43, of 20574 Looney Road, Athens, third-degree theft

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents and thefts Friday:

• HARVEST – Gold, coins and jewelry, total value $22,400 burglarized between Dec. 5 and 13 in 14000 block Doe Run

• ATHENS – DeWalt battery-operated saw, valued at $140, stolen Nov. 3 in 22000 block Carey Road

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Friday:

• Theresa Diane Anton, 41, of 19199 Easter Ferry Road, Athens, seven counts of obtaining controlled substance by fraud

• Eric Curtis Barron, 32, of 24682 Seventh St., Ardmore, third-degree theft of property

• Dru Lawler Crumpton, 26, of 17854 Elles Drive, Athens, driving under the influence of a controlled substance

• Misty Dawn Stults, 35, of 1500 U.S. 72, Room 120, Athens, second-degree theft and fraudulent use of a debit/credit card

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following incidents and thefts Friday:

• Four cases of Bud Light, six 24-can packs of Bud Light and dog food, total value $216, stolen Dec. 13 at Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Unknown quantity and various brands of ammunition, 26 fishing rods with reels, tackle box with lures, 13 clear cases containing fishing lures, toolbox with miscellaneous tools, Husqvarna chain saw, Taurus .38-caliber snub nose revolver,  total value $15,600, burglarized between Dec. 9 and 13 in 1600 block Squire Run

Wrecks

• Alexandra Renae Roos of Athens was injured in an accident at 2:48 p.m. Thursday on East Pryor Street at U.S. 31. – Athens Police
