 County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Joseph Martin Brown, 55, of 20724 Mooresville Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Wendy Lorraine Brown, 47, of 20724 Mooresville Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Clint Devan Potts, 19, of 706 Sanders St., Athens, violation of noise ordinance

• Loyd B. Stafford Jr., 41, of 11590 Glass Hollow Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Zachary Elias Tarpley, 24, of 15805 Hardy Road, Athens, probation violation (first-degree criminal mischief); and probation violation (destroying state property)

• Jason Robert Taylor, 3929180 First Ave. W., Ardmore, third-degree domestic violence (assault); and third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Sheldon Jamison Hobbs, 45, of 734 Westview Ave., Athens, unauthorized use of a vehicle and non-payment of child support

• Joshua Felton Ledlow, 30, of 550 Herring Road, Decatur, probation violation (second-degree theft)

• Doris Dianne Long, 55, of 503 4th St., Athens, driving under the influence of alcohol

• Timothy Scott Royster, 36, of 208 Melody Circle, Harvest, third-degree criminal mischief

• Gary Wayne Thomas, 57, of 1606 Wilbur St., Blair, Neb., public intoxication

• Matthew Alan Wright, 19,  of 29790 Second Ave., Ardmore, possession of a controlled substance

 

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• ATHENS – Troy Bilt push mower valued at $125  stolen Jan. 27 in a burglary in the 23000 block of Miller Road

• ATHENS – Browning 300 Mag. Safari rifle and Cayle scope, total value $2,600 stolen in a burlary between Jan. 26 and Saturday in the 17000 block of Menefee Road

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Darryl Wright, 53, of 1710 Foxcroft Drive, Athens, unlawful possession of marijuana, tampering with physcial evidence, attempting to elude a police officer, and resisting arrest

• Bobby Joe Allen, 38, of 13255 W. U.S. 72, probation revocation (DUI-combined alcohol and drugs)

• Jason Ian McDougle, 37, 19120 Sewell Road, DUI and probation revocation

• Harold Brent Benford, 49, of 2114 Luke Street, Athens, domestic violence (menacing), and menacing

• Robert Todd Scheffler, 45, of 1322 E. U.S. 72, public intoxication

• Melissa Ann Elliott, 35, of 17223 Harwell Road, Athens, third-degree theft of property

• Dana Shawnell Anderson, 37, 19290 Compton Street, Elkmont, third-degree theft of property

• Heather Nicole Rovere, 30, of 2527 Lex Circle, Huntsville, arrest for Florence Police Department

• Kaella Michelle Tinnon, 22, of 403 Shaw St., Athens, DUI

• James Ruben Hatter, 35, 16606 Hampton Lane, Athens, third-degree theft of property

• Nathan Lynn Watkins, 29, of 25368 New Bethel Road, Elkmont, arrest for Madison County Sheriff

 

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• Brown wallet with change purse, red crocodile print leather wrist purse, two vehicle keys, Discover credit card, Visa Disney credit card, Social Security card, AT&T cell phone, one residential key, total value $410, stolen Friday from the 22000 block of U.S. 72 East

• Damage to a windshield, driver’s window, headlight and housing, and  to a Ford F700driver’s side mirror, totaling $930 due to criminal mischief, and $1,500 in lost wages from being unable to use truck on Friday in the 500 block of U.S. 72 West

• Damage to two passenger side windows and one passenger side body damage to a Chevrolet Tahoe, totaling $400, and a broken 5-iron totaling $20, due to criminal mischief Saturday in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue

• Husqvarna 372 XP chainsaw, valued at $900, stolen during the breaking and entering of a vehicle Saturday in the 1000 block of Kelli Drive

• Mercury Sable alternator and set of keys, total value $35, stolen Saturday in the 700 block of Fifth Avenue

• Damage to a storm door window totaling $80 due to criminal mischief Friday in the 800 block of Westmoreland Avenue

• Twenty-four cans of Budweiser Light beer, valued $19.99, stolen Friday from the 100 block of U.S. 72 West

• Two Perk air-fresheners, one Gain dryer bar, pair of pliers, one dead bolt, five rolls of electrical tape, three containers of Morley fragrance spray, one package of Tide pods, three mini-pencils, a green hand towel, and two incense ash catchers, total value $36, stolen Saturday from the 500 block of South Jefferson Street

• Thirty-seven items of various consumables and various other items, total value $602.93 stolen Sunday from Walmart

• Smith & Wesson MP-15 223-caliber rifle, Glock 45-caliber handgun, and two AR-15 magazine/clip couplers, total value $1,820, stolen during a Sunday burglary in the 1600 block of Florence Street
