County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Ashley Carol Batrum, 31, of 17876 Phyllis St., Athens, surety rescinds bond on prevous charge of second-degree possession of a forged instrument

• Jamie Dale Franklin, 31, of 29341 Eighth Ave., Ardmore, second-degree forgery and six counts of negotiating a worthless non-negotiable instrument

• Daniel Keith Gray, 32, of 4411 Keiger St., Huntsville, third-degree theft

• James Ruben Hatter, 35, of 16606 Hampton Lane, Athens, bond revoked on previous charge of third-degree burglary

• Thesha Lashay Hunter, 36, of 1604 Whitson St., Athens, negotiating a worthless non-negotiable instrument

• Christopher Oneal Malone, 25, of 200 Roberts St., Athens, grand jury indictment for possession of a controlled substance

• Eric Lamar Moore, 38, of 1221 North St. SE No. 2, Decatur, failing to pay child support

• Winston Maurice Sales, 34, of 113 Moore St., Madison, grand jury indictment for public intoxication

• Mickey Dale Sanders, 30, of 17200 Ferry Road, Athens, violated probation on previous conviction for third-degree theft

• Stanley Toney, 44, of 12655 Marble Drive, Madison, driving under the influence



County thefts


The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following theft Tuesday:

• ATHENS — Tag receipt, five yellow cab lights, total value $200, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between Jan. 24 and Feb. 24 in 20800 block Yarbrough Road


City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Emily Alayne Waldrop, 20, of 105 Grove Lane, Athens, third-degree theft

• David Walton Junior Thatch, 40, of 23911 Fennell Lane, Tanner, probation revoked on previous conviction for DUI

• Amanda Beth Malone, 34, of 25622 Bain Road, Athens, probation revoked on previous conviction for driving under the influenc of a controlled substance


City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• Assorted makeup, value $92, stolen Feb. 24 at Walmart

• Nine and one-half gallons of fuel, value $37, stolen Feb. 24 in 400 block U.S. 31 South

• Criminal mischief to porch light and glass window, total value $130, on Feb. 24 in 200 block Sanderfer Road

• Theft of services for overnight stay in two motel rooms, value $98, on Feb. 25 in 1300 block U.S. 72 East

• Apple 5C iPhone with small crack at the top corner, value $500, stolen Feb. 24 in 100 block U.S. 31 North
