County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Tammy Renea Austelle, 43, of 24899 Airport Road, Athens, fraudulent use of a credit card

• Tonya Dawn Bates, 37, of 22107 Tommy Sue Way, Lot 52, Elkmont, two counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Kasey Austin Berner, 22, of 25821 Cobblestone Lane, Athens, second-degree theft of property

• Mary Ashley Blankenship, 23, of 18414 Alabama 99, Lot 82, Athens, four counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Tana Allison Buford, 40, of 30544 Ardmore Ridge Road, Ardmore, Tenn., second-degree theft

• Mary Jill Clark, 36, of 26105 Fall Way Lane, Ardmore, two counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Gary Neil Coats, 46, of 18078 East Limestone Road, Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for third-degree theft

• Steven Lynn Gandy, 49, of 21168 Edgewood Road, Athens, first-degree theft of property; accused of stealing a truck from relatives that was later recovered and returned

• Donnie Clay Goode, 54, of 1104 N. Hine St., Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Ramon Quiroz, 40, of 15440 Dawson Dupree Road, Athens, driving under the influence, speeding and no proof of insurance

• Nicholas Aren Whitehead, 30, of 25832 Rosedown Drive, Athens, unauthorized use of a vehicle (warrant from Madison Police Department) and second-degree theft of property (warrant from Birmingham Police Department)

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• MADISON — Ford Taurus valued at $5,000 stolen Dec. 14 from 13000 block Sugar Plum, Apt. B, Madison

• ATHENS — Ashley brand loveseat, air purifier and boxes of antiques, total $10,000, stolen during burglary on Bethel Road between Dec. 1 and 14

• TANNER — Trailer tailgate and vehicle tag, total $216, stolen from 10000 block U.S. 31 between May 4 and Nov. 21

• ATHENS — Television, gold chain, three pairs of shoes, four bottles of cologne, set of bunk beds and laptop computer, total $1,690, stolen Dec. 14 from 18000 block Oakdale Road

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Jamie Nicole Kelley, 34, of 207 Walnut St., Athens, DUI (controlled substance)

• Jeffery Wayne Cottingham, 28, of 10034 Towerview St. S.W., Decatur, arrest for Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department 

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following theft Thursday:

• Medication valued at $251 stolen Dec. 14 from 22000 block Compton Road

Wrecks

• George A. Taylor of Athens was injured in an accident Dec. 14 on Jefferson Street at Sixth Street — Athens Police
