County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Thomas Andrew Cavazos, 29, of 204 Edens, League City, Texas, arrested for Calcasieu, La., authorities on a charge of distribution of a controlled substance

• Waylon Dale Davis, 34, of Zehner Road, third-degree theft

• Larry Joe Gabhart, 29, of 29458 Lakeview Drive, Ardmore, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia

• Byron Gene Gordon, 43, of 26541 Bethel Road, Elkmont, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with revoked license and expired tag

• Michael Glen Green, 40, of 12339 New Cut Road, Athens, probation revocation on an original conviction for failure to pay child support

• Courtney Meagan Johnson, 33, of 15235 McCormick Lane, Athens, second-degree assault

• Patrick Lawon Johnson, 20, of 501 Henry Drive, Athens, probation revocation on an original conviction for third-degree burglary

• James William Malone, 40, of 700 S. Houston St., Athens, negotiating worthless negotiable instrument

• Bobby Lynn Shelton, 59, of 23195 Pepper Road, Athens, 23195 Pepper Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Billy Joe Siniard, 35, of 15886 Mooresville Road, Athens, probation revocation (Limestone County Community Corrections Program)

• Chester Luthon Smith Jr., 44, of 5000 Craig Ave. SW, Birmingham, probation revocation on an original conviction for DUI

• Cody Gross Williams, 31, of 813 4th Ave., South Jasper, DUI

 

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• ATHENS – Air compressor valued at $1,200 stolen Thursday or Friday from he 19000 block of East Limestone Road

• ATHENS – Sixteen-foot flat bottom boat, valued at $800 stolen between Feb. 18 and 21 from the 17000 block of Seven Mile Post Road

• ATHENS – Three lawn mowers and some scrap, total value $918, stolen Friday from the 20000 block of Cox Road

• ATHENS – Four tires and wheels and household items, all of unknown value, stolen during a burglay Between Feb. 15 and Friday from the 27000 block of Nick Davis Road

• ELKMONT – Black lab mix dog with pink collar of unknown value stolen Friday from Alabama 99 at Corder Road
