County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• April Lynn Middlebrooks, 32, of 16917 Poplar Creek Road, Athens, driving under the influence

• John Wayne Scott, 50, of 28133 Falcon Lane, Elkmont, possession of a controlled substance

• Joshua Neal Wray, 25, of 27669 Alabama 127, Elkmont, possession of a controlled substance

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• ELKMONT — Apple I-Phone IV, miscellaneous jewelry and cash, total $540, stolen from vehicle in 23000 block Star Lane between Dec. 16 and 18

• ELKMONT — Thirty-gallon, cast-iron cook pot valued at $400 stolen from 23000 block Sugar Way between Oct. 5 and Dec. 15

• LESTER — Emerson brand 19-inch, flatscreen television valued at $140 stolen from 29000 block Alabama 99 between Dec. 9 and 18

• MADISON — Hi-Point brand .380 caliber handgun valued at $100 stolen Dec. 18 from Segers Road

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrest Wednesday:

• Charlie Wayne Phillips, 38, of 21960 Cairo Hollow Road, Athens, harassment

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• Front bumper of Toyota Sienna sustained $1,000 in damage Dec. 18 in 1100 block of U.S. 31 South  

• Lamp, door lock, table and air-conditioning unit, total $800, damaged due to criminal mischief Dec. 19 in 1100 block U.S. 31 South 

• Black and white purse, Alabama driver’s license, Virginia College ID and Visa debit card, total $10, found Dec. 19 in 1100 block U.S. 72 East

• Waterford brand crystal bowl valued at $150 stolen during burglary Dec. 19 in 1600 block Ole Carriage Circle 

• Walmart gift card valued at $500 stolen Dec. 18 from vehicle in 100 block Hastings Road

• Smoker, pressure washer, turkey fryer, grill, utensils, two tents, four folding tables, 11 rods and reels, toolbox, generator, rotary tiller, mower, leaf blowers, four 5-gallon gas tanks, stapler, golf bag and clubs, catcher’s equipment, three ball gloves, snow villages, scooter, baseball tripod, four bicycles, electric scooter, ladder, string trimmer, chop saw, compressors and miscellaneous tools, total $17,135, stolen during burglary Nov. 28 in 1400 block Freeman Avenue
