County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• Eric Allen Clem, 25, of 22270 Sugar Way, Athens, bond revoked on previous charge of theft by fraudulent lease

• Chandler Crews Edwards, 43, of 27523 Gatlin Road, Ardmore, driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license, no proof of insurance and open container of alcohol

• Sharla Renee LeCroy, 43, of 21591 Tillman Mill Road, Elkmont, probation revoked on previous conviction for possession of ephedrine

• Andrea Noelle Leggett, 38, of 13125 Summerfield Drive, Athens, DUI

• William Blake Michael, 24, of 25925 Cottonbelt Road, Elkmont, second-degree theft

• James Edward Muddiman Jr., 47, of 377 Summit Lakes Drive, Athens, first-, second- and  third-degree theft deception

• John Derrick Potter, 34, of 204 Paulin Drive, Hazel Green, violated probation on previous conviction for second-degree possession of marijuana

• Ashley Leighanne Smith, 24, of 1006 15th Ave., Decatur, three counts of fraudulent use of credit/debit card (grand jury indictment)

• John Wesley Turner, 19, of 1481 Nick Davis Road, Harvest, first-degree receiving stolen property

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• ATHENS – Verizon brand iPad, valued at $800, taken during the breaking and entering of a vehicle Oct. 1 on Alabama 99

• ATHENS – Four 100-pound tractor weights, valued at $1,000, stolen Sept. 29 from 8000 block U.S. 72

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• Courtney Terrell Johnson, 35, of 108 Ash St., Athens, giving a false name, attempting to elude and third-degree theft

• Holly Beth Wilson, 27, of 2232 Levert Ave., Athens, second-degree theft

City thefts 

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• $47 cash stolen Oct. 2 at 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Alabama driver’s license, black wallet containing miscellaneous papers, and black Verizon smartphone, total value $126, taken during the breaking and entering of a vehicle Oct. 2 at 1101 U.S. 31 South

• LED lantern, propane lantern, folding camping table portable Coleman brand gas grill, reclining camping chair, three camping chairs and tool set, total value $660, burglarized at recreational vehicle between Sept. 29 and Oct. 3 in 15000 block Kings Drive
