County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Dewayne Dee Burton, 46, of 25809 Cotton Belt Road, Elkmont, unauthorized use of a vehicle

• Christina Leann Peace, 29, of 1330 O'Shaughnessy Ave. Apartment D, Huntsville, first degree theft

• David Clennion Powers II, 43, of 13443 Carter Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• David Gali, 26, of 2207 Piney Chapel Road, Apartment 7, Athens, domestic violence (strangulation/suffocation)

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• ATHENS – Sony Play Station 2, valued at $200, stolen April 17 from the 10000 block of Snake Road

• ATHENS – Custom planer valued at $380, stolen during a burglary between April 4 and 16, from the 11000 block of Dogwood Flats Road

• ATHENS – Medication valued at $55 stolen during a burglary Friday in the 23000 block of Slate Road

• ROGERSVILLE – Aloma boat and trailer, old bicycle, 150 metal T-posts, 100 electric fence posts, log chain, three-point hitch, three-point boom hitch, wagon with tools, and an old tiller, all of unknown value, stolen between April 6 and Saturday from the 6500 block of Upper Snake Road

• LESTER – Change valued at $15 stolen during a burglary on Saturday or Sunday fromt eh 25000 block of Salem-Minor Hill Road

• ATHENS – Change valued at $50 and miscellaneous items of unknown value stolen Saturday or Sunday during a burglary in the 19000 block of Alabama 99

• ELKMONT – Half-carat diamond ring, Rossi 243 riffle with Bushnell scope, jewelry and cash, total value $1,650, stolen Saturday or Sunday in the 16000 block of Coffman Road

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Michelaine Jones Hartt, 44, of 19752 Elkton Road, Athens, arrest for City of Madison Police

• Jesse Ray Cobb, 25, of 16913 O'Neal Road, Athens, driving under the influence of alcohol

• Amanda Lou Powell, 30, of 201 W. Sanderfer Road, Athens, DUI

• Tommy Jack Lovell, 40, of 17755 Brownsferry St., Athens, discharging a firearm in city limits

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts and incidents Monday:

• Storm door damage valued at $100 as a result of criminal mischief between Friday and Monday in the 100 block of Scotland Drive

• Money in the amount of $1,375 stolen between April 8 and Monday from the 600 block of South Jefferson Street

• Two checks and an expired driver license, total value $266, stolen between March 25 and Monday  from the 600 block of North Malone Street

• Room fee in theft of services totaling $54.51 between April 14 and 18 from the 1300 block of U.S. 72 East

• CDs and display case with $125 in damages as a result of criminal mischief Satrday in the 900 block of South Jefferson Street

• Criminal mischief resulting in damage to a Ford F150 totaling $1,000 Saturday in the 800 block of U.S. 72 West

• Nine pack pink-size Coors beer, four pack 16-ounce Coors beer, and Starter men's shoes, total value $34.90 stolen Saturday from a Buik Lacross parked at Walmart

• Ford 2000 F-250 with concrete tools in bed, arc welder, wire welder, eight B&M crappie rods with Shimano reels, five Shimano Chronarch 200 Baitcaster; four Bass Pro Shop rods; Duckett Ghost rod, Shimano spinning reel, Cabelas rod spinning, Hummingbird depth finder, Navionics Platinum Mapcard Southeast, Polaris 500 four-wheeler, and 8-by-10-foot utility trailer, total value $31,675, stolen during a burglary Sunday or Monday in the 1300 block of U.S. 31 South
