ARREST Report for 3/3/12

County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Friday: 

• Steven Dean Bailey, 37, of 25626 Capshaw Road, Athens, failing to pay child support 

• Johnny Ray Baker, 48, of 740 W. Arbor Drive, Huntsville, attempted murder; grand jury indictment

• Richard Earl Brown, 69, of 3303 Highway 431, Lot 6, New Hope, negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Troy Marshall Hargrove, 47, of 16805 Alabama 251, Athens, failing to deliver vehicle title

• Michelle Dawn Hinds, 33, of 29342 Easter Ferry Road, Lester, 14 counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument 

• Jason Earl Morris, 46, of 15091 Lucas Ferry Road, Athens, harassment

• Cody Wayne Pease, 25, of 9162 Segers Road, Lot 21, Madison, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for second-degree manufacturing a controlled substance (Limestone County Community Corrections Program)

• Matthew James Shelton, 20, of 15790 Hardy Road, Athens, two counts of third-degree criminal trespass

• Marvin Christopher Sledge, 31, of 900 Lucas St., Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for driving under the influence

• Lynn Louise Spaulding, 27, of 210 U.S. 31, Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime. 

• Tracey Lamont Townsend, 37, of 18996 Townsend Ford Road, Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for second-degree burglary

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Thursday and Friday:

• ATHENS — Medication of undetermined valued stolen Feb. 29 from 18000 block Aster Lane

• ATHENS — Snap-On toolbox with tools, jacket and five gallons of gasoline, total $420, stolen Feb. 29 from 13000 block Hickory Hills Road

• ATHENS — Water pump and other item, total $310, stolen from 21000 block Cotton Belt Road between Feb. 25 and 27

• ELKMONT — Couch and wall heater, total $745, stolen during burglary in 18000 block Amber Way between Jan. 21 and Feb. 21

• ATHENS — .22-caliber revolver of undetermined value stolen Feb. 29 from 19000 block Dugger Road

• ATHENS — Stereo equipment and nine-piece drum set valued at $200 stolen during burglary in 9000 block Poplar Point Road between Jan. 15 and March 1

City arrests/thefts

The Athens Police Department reported no arrests or thefts Friday due to computer problems and the storms.
