County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• Casey Wayne Anderson, 35, of 24142 Slate Road, Elkmont, public intoxication

• Donald Hugh Jones, 48, of 141 Campbell Mill Road, Grant, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of a firearm

• Trenton Lee Moss, 49, of 10272 U.S. 72, Lot 18, Athens, harassment

• Joseph Lamar Starling, 31, of 111 Pattock Court, Athens, failing to pay child support (contempt)

• Dana Marie Thomas, 35, of 26433 Sixth St., Ardmore, second-degree forgery

• Jimmy Lee Townsend, 47, of 216 Seminole Drive, Huntsville, two counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and third-degree theft by deception

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• ATHENS — Rayban sunglasses, bottle of Polo cologne, Carhart jacket, total value $350, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle March 25 in 14200 block Quinn Road

• ELKMONT — Book of checks, Black & Decker circular saw, DeWalt jigsaw, Craftsman grinder and Diamond Tip disk, total value $165, stolen between Feb. 1 and March 25 in 27800 block Lambert Road

• ATHENS — Vizio flat-screen 32-inch TV, HP laptop, ThinkPad laptop, LG slide phone and AT&T Blackberry cellphone, total value $960, stolen March 25 in 24400 block Mooresville Road

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:

• Mark Loyd Abernathy, 59, of 10006 Torino Drive SE, Huntsville, receiving stolen property

• Deshaun Ontrae Royall, 32, of 900 Pine Forrest Drive, Apt. 204, Raleligh, N.C., disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, attempting to elude a police officer and driving under the influence

• Joel Brandon Schimpf, 30, of 1601 W. Elm St., Athens, theft of property

• Tyler Wade Whitaker, 18, of Elkmont, third-degree theft

• Corey Cordell White, 25, of 514 N. Beaty St., Athens, first-degree criminal trespass

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• Smokeless ashtray and 64 various air fresheners, total value $47, stolen March 25 in 15200 block Pike Road

• Pants, value $16, stolen March 25 in 1000 block U.S. 72 East
