City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Friday:

• Zenith brand 47-inch high-definition flat screen and 32-inch black flat screen TV, total value $1,000, burglarized in a forced entry Nov. 8 in 800 block Sanderfer Road

• Popcorn chicken bites, valued at $2.50, stolen Nov. 8 from Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Food items, valued at $30, stolen Nov. 8 from Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East


• Nicholas Tyler Johnson of Elkmont was injured in a midmorning accident Nov. 9 at the intersection of Elm and Jefferson streets. — Athens Police
