The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday: 

• Rene Tavar Alonzo, 43, of 1101 U.S. 31 Room 145, Athens, violating the sex offender act

• Brandon Lynn Burgess, 27, 605 Third St., Athens, bond revocation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance

• Lauralee Franks, 36, of 82 Rebecca Dr., Remlap, bond revocation on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia

• Courtney Renee Hobbs 21, of 16526 Witty Mill Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance, third-degree theft

• Nicholas Jordan Landreth, 22, 30229 Copeland Road, Harvest, third-degree assault.

• Jason Brantley Lorenza, 25, 2105 Sandlin Road, Decatur, probation revocation on charge of third-degree burglary

• Tracey Lynn Malone, 29, of 28165 Persimmon Tree Road, Anderson, probation violation

• Nina Marie McKanney, 31, of 13225 U.S. 72, Athens, probation revocation on charge of second-degree criminal mischief

• Daniel Nava, 28, 17065 Browns Ferry Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (menacing), third-degree domestic violence (reckless endangerment)

• Turner Lee Rogers, 57, 106 Edinburgh Drive, Athens, parole violation on charge of first-degree rape

• Chucky Eugene Willard, 38, 28246 Harvest Road, Toney, bond revocation on charge of felony possession of a firearm.

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• MADISON – Pit bull dogs valued at $700 stolen between Nov. 20, 2011 and Feb. 14 in the 11000 block Mooresville Road

• ATHENS – Miscellaneous items valued at $38 stolen Feb. 14 in the 19000 block Alabama 99

• ATHENS – $431 cash stolen between Feb. 12 and 14 in the 10000 block Sandlin Cemetery Road

• ATHENS – Jewelry of undetermined value and 30 Case brand knives valued at $500 taken in a burglary Feb. 14 in the 14000 block Reid Road

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the follow arrests Wednesday:

• Rene Tavar Alonzo, 43, of 1101 U.S. 31 Room 145, Athens, contempt of court, third-degree domestic violence (menacing)

• Daniel Ray Dean, 55, 22391 Smith Road, DUI-controlled substance

• Kenneth Stepp Harris, 39, 103 Pattock Court, Athens, DUI-alcohol

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:

• Unknown brands of four-wheeler and and go-kart, total value $2,200, stolen between Feb. 13 and 15 in 1600 block Sanderfer Street

• Coins, video games and machines, total value $1,300, stolen between Feb. 14 and 15 in 100 block E. Hobbs Street

Wreck

• Peggy Mueller, 50, of Seymour, Ind., was injured in a two-vehicle wreck at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 65, one mile north of Athens; she was wearing a seat belt — Alabama State troopers
