Stevon Cantrell has been named chief operating officer and shareholder for Lee Precision Machine Shop.
Cantrell, who has had a relationship with the family owned company for more than 20 years, will succeed company founder Sang Bok Lee.
Athens-based Lee Precision Machine has been a family owned business since 1977. The company is ISO 9001-2008 certified.
Lee Precision, a small, minority/woman-owned company, provides engineering and machining services for commercial, aerospace and defense industries, including custom-critical safety items for the Army, Navy and Air Force.
“Mr. Cantrell has a track record of strong leadership both inside and outside the manufacturing industry,” the company said in a press release. “This, combined with his deep industry knowledge and tenure, makes him highly qualified to lead LPM Inc. successfully into the future.”
