— • Homecoming. Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at 27971 Easter Ferry Road in Lester will hold their Homecoming Service at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 18. Minister Paul Phillips and Allen Chapel of AME Church in Skipperville will conduct the service.

• Women’s Day. Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America at 923 Brownsferry St. in Athens will hold its annual Women’s Day Program at 2:30 p.m. today, Aug. 18. The speaker will be the Rev. Barbara Clemons of Pleasant Grove CPCA. The public is invited. Contact: 256-233-3016.

• Family & Friends Day. Little Elk Missionary Baptist Church on Snake Road in Athens will hold Family & Friends Day and their 139th Church Anniversary Celebration at 2:30 p.m. today, Aug. 18. Pastor Charles Simmons and Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church are in charge of the service.

• Revival. Bright Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America on Mooresville Road will be in revival at 6:30 nightly from Aug. 19-21. Guest speaker is the Rev. Robert Yarbrough Jr. of Oakville Missionary Baptist Church and Gibson Chapel UM Church.

• Ministry anniversary. Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministry will celebrate their second anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at the church, 27971 Easter Ferry Road in Lester. Speaker is Sheena Townsend also known as La Shay B on WEUP radio. Everyone is welcome.
