Respite night

Caregivers Night Out will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at Isom’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 16230 Mooresville Road. Make reservations by noon Thursday, April 3, at 256-232-7207.

SATURDAY

Yard sale fundraiser

The T&C Stamping Inc. yard sale to benefit the American Cancer Society begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at 1403 Freeman Ave., in Athens. Items include clothing, furniture, toys, home decor, appliances and sporting goods.

Coffee Call

The Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives Coffee Call is 8-9 a.m. Saturday at 100 W. Pryor St. Eugene and Jason Sanders are sponsors.

Craft and vendor fair

Twenty-plus crafters and vendors are expected for a craft and vendor fair from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 49, 124 Cloverleaf Drive in Athens. More information: 256-698-8127.

Turkey, ham and prize shoot

The event will be held 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Vietnam Veterans of America building, 17915 W. Elm St. in Athens. Cost is $4 per shot. Shells and shotguns provided. Ready to eat chicken stew available at $5 per quart or all you can eat. Contact: 256-874-3622 or 206-5399.

SilverSneakers classes

SilverSneakers flex strength and balance classes are held 8:30-9:15 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Athens Senior Center on Pryor Street. Flex cardio and strength classes are held 10-11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Round Island Baptist Church. All are welcome. Disaster kit items needed

RSVP/HandsOn Athens is preparing disaster kits for senior citizens and needs donated items to include: Small flashlights with extra batteries, whistles, manual can opener, first-aid kits, moist towelettes, hand sanitizers, garbage bags, zip lock plastic bags, playing cards, toilet tissue and pocket-size tissue. Deliver to RSVP, 409 W. Washington St. by March 31.

Rescue Squad drop-off

Athens-Limestone Rescue Squad is accepting donations for an upcoming garage sale at 1401 Freeman Avenue, Athens. Saleable items only.
