CEMETERY DAYS

Reunion Cemetery


Decoration day with a chicken and goat stew fundraiser is Saturday. Bring containers. Donations made payable to Reunion Cemetery Fund may be sent to: Nicole Collins, 25172 Alabama 127, Elkmont, AL 35620.

Jackson Cemetery

Decoration day at the cemetery near Minor Hill, Tennessee, is Saturday. If unable to attend, donations may be made out to Jackson Cemetery and sent to: Billy Joe Word, 980 Shoal Creek Road, Goodspring, TN 38460.

Poplar Creek Cemetery

Decoration day will be Saturday, June 14, at the cemetery on Snake Road. If you are unable to attend, donations may be mailed to Poplar Creek Cemetery, P.O. Box 965 Athens, AL 35612. Refreshments will be provided at 11 a.m. Information: Call Pat Raney at 256-771-0518.

Pettusville Cemetery

Homecoming/Decoration day for Pettusville Cemetery will begin with Sunday services at 11 a.m. June 15 with speaker Doug Hodges. Donations may be mailed to: Pettusville Cemetery Fund in care of Marcus Hobbs, 26965 Pettusville Road, Elkmont, Ala. 35620. For more information, call 256-732-4249 or 256-682-9788.

MEETINGS

• Cancer survivors support. The cancer survivors support group will meet at 6 p.m. today, June 10, at Catfish Cabin on U.S. 72. Survivors, caregivers and friends are invited.

• Soil and water board. The Limestone County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Natural Resources Conservation Service Office, 1795 U.S. 72 East, Suite 102. The public is invited.

• Beekeepers. The Limestone County Beekeepers Association will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Limestone County Water Authority, 17218 U.S. 72 West.
