Girl Scout cookie tasting
The Limestone County Girl Scout cookie tasting is 4-6 p.m. today at Athens Recreation Center. It was rescheduled due to the winter storm. The tasting, which will offer samples of eight cookies, is free to the public.

The 26th annual Hospice of Limestone County Chili Challenge and Silent Auction is 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at Athens High School. Cost is $10 per person to taste and vote on 32 chili recipes. Bid on sports items, artwork, gift certificates, lawn and garden supplies and more. Auction ends at 1:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit Hospice services such as Camp Home and respite workers.
