— • Addiction program. First Baptist Church in Athens is holding “Jesus Time” — using Biblical principles to battle addiction — at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Family Life Center. Everyone is welcome: More information: 256-497-6446.

• Revival. Revival at the Creek is 7 nightly, July 14-16, at Poplar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 16031 Poplar Creek Road in Athens. The Rev. Kenneth Owens of St. Mark Primitive Baptist Church is guest revivalist. Various community choirs will provide music ministry. The public is invited.

• First Union VBS. First Union Baptist Church at 18356 Edgewood Road will hold a “Son Treasure Island”-themed vacation Bible school 6-8:30 p.m., July 14-18, for age 4 through sixth grade. More information: Jessica 256-777-2066.

• Revival. Peace Missionary Baptist Church is holding a revival at 7 nightly, July 14-18, at 1214 Plainview Circle. The Rev. Clifford Mayes of Toledo, Ohio, is evangelist for the week. The public is invited.

• Southern gospel. A Southern gospel singing at Berea Baptist Church, 16779 Lucas Ferry Road, will feature The Inspirations in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18. No admission. Love offering will be taken.

• Benefit. A benefit for cancer and kidney patient James Dwight Moore is Saturday, July 19, at Grace Full Gospel Church, 27267 Bain Road in Athens. Silent auction is 4-5:30 p.m. along with a hamburgers, hot dogs, pork plates and desserts for sale. Bluegrass gospel singing at 6. All donations accepted. More information: Tammy Pitts 256-777-4339.

• Homecoming/Anniversary. Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 759 Pine Grove Road in Harvest invites the public to attend its Homecoming and 120th Anniversary Observance at 8 and 11 a.m. Sunday, July 20. The Rev. Clifford Mayes of Toledo, Ohio, will preach at both services. Lunch served following the 11 a.m. service.

• Men and Women's Day. The Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church Men and Women's Day Program is 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, at 27971 Easter Ferry Road in Lester. Pastor Danny Jefferson and Saint Peter's United Methodist Church are in charge of the program.

• Salem United VBS. Salem United Methodist Church in Lester will hold “Workshop of Wonders” vacation Bible school from 6-8:30 nightly, July 21-23. Ages up to fifth grade are welcome.
