Animal shelter yard sale
The Athens-Limestone County Animal Shelter yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. until all items are gone Saturday, June 29, at 1701 U.S. 72 East between Russell Stover and Preston’s Western Wear. Masons chicken stew
Athens Lodge 16 at the corner of Lucas Ferry and Elm Street will sell chicken stew on Saturday, June 29. Stew is $20 per gallon (lesser quantities available on request) and will be ready for pickup at 10 a.m. Free containers or bring your own. Ardmore reading program
