A benefit yard sale for Sawyer Moss, who has the genetic disorder Phelan-McDermid syndrome, will be held today and Saturday starting each day at 7 a.m. at 1609 W. Market St. in Athens. Everything priced to sell.

Blood pressure screenings
May is High Blood Pressure Month and the Alabama State NAACP will conduct blood pressure screenings from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday at the NAACP HQ building, 17308 U.S. 72 West in Athens. Wesley Chapel Cemetery

Trail ride benefit
