MLK Day March
The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day march sponsored by the Limestone NAACP will be Saturday, Jan. 18, in downtown Athens. Lineup is at 9:30 a.m., with the march at 10 from the Limestone County Courthouse Square to the Event Center on Pryor Street. An hour-long program follows the march.
‘Blood Stock’ blood drive
The American Red Cross is hosting a Haley Humphrey “Blood Stock” scholarship blood drive from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at New Life Assembly of God Family Life Center, 16768 U.S. 72 West in Athens.
Teen Library Council
Applications for the Teen Library Council are now available at the Athens-Limestone Public Library. TLC will meet to discuss books, movies, music and other items of teen interest.
