— • Bible camp. Members of James Chapel M.B. Church will hold vacation Bible school from 5-7 p.m. each Sunday in June with the theme “Night Under the Stars.” Programs include Serve Family, Serve Friends, Serve Neighbors, Serve Community and Serve Jesus.

• VBS. Ephesus Church of Christ at 21815 Elkton Road is holding vacation Bible school at 7 p.m. through June 12. Theme is “Learnem & Dailey’s 5-Ring Circus of Faith.” Classes for all ages.

• VBS. Elkmont Church of Christ will hold vacation Bible school “Journeys Through the Bible,” through June 12 for all ages. For more information call 256-732-4909 or go online to www.elkmontchurchofchrist.org.

• VBS. Tanner Church of Christ at 19925 Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road will hold vacation Bible school from 6:30-8:30 nightly through June 14. Program for Sunday through Thursday will be “It’s a Blue Ribbon Life — Fruits of the Spirit.” Friday will be County Fair Fun Night. Classes available for ages 3-adult. • VBS. Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church at 380 Indian Creek Road in Huntsville will hold vacation Bible school from 6:30-8:30 p.m., through June 13. The theme is “Jesus Family Reunion: The Remix!” The public is invited.

• VBS. Sweet Springs Baptist Church at 26250 Sweet Springs Road in Ardmore will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m.-noon through June 14 for ages 4-12. Bible quizzing and memory awards, moon bounce, giant slide, cotton candy, obstacle course and many prizes. Contact: 256-423-6237.

• Day of Love. Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America will hold a Day of Love and give away free food boxes from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park. Contact: 256-216-0660 or 256-233-5995.

• Youth Day. David’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Tanner will celebrate Youth Day at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 16. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Chris Telley, associate minister of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Athens. Everyone welcome.

•VBS. Bright Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America at Mooresville-Belle Mina Road will hold vacation Bible school from 6-8 p.m., June 17-19. The theme is “Jesus Family Reunion: The Remix!” Classes for all ages. Public is invited. Contact: 256-355-6253.

• VBS. Holt Road Baptist Church at 23855 Presnell Road, just off Holt Road, will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. until noon, June 17-21. Learn about the Bible and take part in games and crafts each day. Refreshments served. Contact: 256-232-6160 or 256-497-7814.

• VBS. Coxey Church of Christ on U.S. 72 at New Cut Road, west of Athens, will hold a one-day vacation Bible school from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Theme is “Bible Stories Under the Big Top.” Event features outdoor activities, including an inflatable, lunch, snacks, stories about Daniel the lion tamer, Doracs the woman raised from the dead, Samson the strong man and the woman known as the witch of Endor. • Ushers Appreciation Day. St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at 10081 Snake Road, Athens, will host Ushers Appreciation Day at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, at the church. Special guest will be elder Joe Cater and Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church from Greenbriar. Contact: 256-232-6170.

    Vietnam Veterans of America, chapter 511, will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday at the VVA building, 17915 W. Elm St. The $7 meal includes spaghetti, garlic toast, salad, dessert and drink. Take out or eat in. Proceeds benefit the VVA scholarship fund. More information: 256-206-5399.
