— • Revival. Shanghai Baptist Church at 13435 Elk River Mills Road is holding a revival special singing through tonight, May 1. David Kelley is featured at 7 p.m. Nursery available.

• Revival. Majestic Chapel on Hays Mill Road, just off Alabama 127, will host evangelist Toby Lacewell in a revival Friday through Sunday, May 3-5. The May 3 and 4 services will be at 7 p.m. and the May 5 services are at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Contact: Mike Webster 256-431-8038.

• Walk-a-thon. Round Island Creek Missionary Baptist Association Women’s Convention presents its annual walk-a-thon at 6 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at RICMBA Mission Center, 13829 Lucas Ferry Road, Athens. The public is invited. Contact: 256-232-5717.

• Youth fundraiser. The Emmanuel Baptist Church indoor yard sale to raise funds for a youth summer mission trip will be held from 7 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 4, at 1917 U.S. 72 West. Donations accepted.

• Quarterly singing. Oakland Church of Christ at 18111 Townsend Ford Road is holding a quarterly singing at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 4. Public is invited.

• Homecomings. Copeland Presbyterian Church at 27085 Copeland Road in Athens, founded in 1895, will celebrate 100 consecutive Copeland Days (homecomings) at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 5. Worship service followed by covered dish lunch, singing and fellowship. Public invited.

• Anniversary celebration. New Iberia Missionary Baptist Church in Elkmont invites the public to the third-anniversary celebration of pastor Corey Thomas at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 5. Pastor Leonard Shackleford and St. Paul Wales Church Family of Pulaski, Tenn., will be in charge of the service. Pastor Kerry Orr and True Faith Church Family of Pulaski will handle the 2:30 service.

• Anniversary. Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church will celebrate its 144th  homecoming and church anniversary Sunday, May 5. Sunday school at 8:30 a.m. and combined worship at 10 a.m. The Rev. Carl Livingston, pastor of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tenn., will be guest speaker. Theme is “Firmly Rooted: Celebrating 144 years of God’s Faithfulness.” Public invited.

• Praise 24 Trio. Athens Church of God, at the corner of Lucas Ferry and Quinn roads,  will host Praise 24 Trio at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, May 5.

• Homecoming. Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church will celebrate its 79th homecoming with worship at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 5, at 13363 Stateline Road, Taft., Tenn., eight miles east of Ardmore at the corner of Stateline and Old Railroad Bed roads. Special message by Everett Rich, pastor of Butler Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tenn. Singing by The Soul Seekers of Hartselle.

• Break-Through Conference. The Simply Amazing Ministries located at 1609 S. Hine St. in Athens presents its 2013 Break-Through Conference at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5, and 7 p.m. May 6-7.  Guests include speaker Apostle George R. Scott and musical guest Kenn Orr, Cynthia Hines & New Day, Sam’s Daughters Of Destiny, who will dance Sunday night, and Jamel Strong and Message.

• Unity tea. St. Mark Primitive Baptist Mothers Ministry requests the presence of all mothers and daughters — biological, spiritual, grand, step, in-law or whatever title possessed — to attend its Mother and Daughter Unity Tea at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in St. Mark’s fellowship hall, 740 Sanderfer Road, Athens. Catherine Baker of Bright Hope CPCA will minister.
