— • Anniversary. St. Mark P.B. Church at 740 Sanderfer Road in Athens will celebrate elder Kenneth Owens 19th Pastor Anniversary at 11 a.m. only, Sunday, March 2.  Guests are the Rev. Marcus Baker and his congregation, First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkmont. The public is invited.

• ‘Miracles on Monday’. “The Miracles on Monday Worship Experience” will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 3, at the New Life Church, 2314 S. Hine St., in Athens. Message by Pastor Antoyne L. Green. Praise and Worship will be led by the New Life Dance and Music Ministries. “Miracles on Monday” is held on the Monday after the first Sunday of each month.

• Spring Training. Early bird registration ends March 3 for the Clements Baptist Church annual Spring Training for area Sunday school teachers and church ministry leaders. Training will be held Friday and Saturday, March 7-8 at the church, 8690 U.S. 72 West. More information and registration at www.springtraining-n-action.org.

• Gospel meeting. West Hobbs Street Church of Christ at 1602 W. Hobbs invites the public to a March 7-9 gospel meeting. Kyle Butt will speak on various topics at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 9 and 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. More information: 256-232-4705.

• Free clothes. The clothes closet at Round Island Baptist Church at 14790 Browns Ferry Road in Athens will be open 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, March 8. All items are free.

• Swamp John’s meal. Oak Grove C.M.E. Church will hold a Swamp John’s fish, chicken or combination dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park in Athens. Cost is $10. Missionary Day at the church will be at 2 p.m. March 9 with the Rev. David Young and Pine Grove C.M.E. in charge.

• Hear the gospel. The gospel of Christ is to be preached by various speakers March 9-12 at Northside Church of Christ, 1201 N. Jefferson St. Sunday services are 10 and 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services are at 7 p.m. Speakers: Sunday, Don Miller; Monday, Steve Ferguson; Tuesday, David Cox; and Wednesday, Everette Conn. • Revival. Tabernacle Baptist Church at 24318 Drawbaugh Road in Athens invites the public to revival services and special singings at 7 nightly March 10-12. Dervin Spears of Owenton, Ky., will preach. More information: 256-614-4233 or 233-0554.
