— • Resurrection celebration. Bright Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America will celebrate Easter with breakfast from 7-8:45 a.m. and a worship service at 9 today, March 31. The Rev. Leroy Clark of Mount Hope is the featured speaker. Contact: 256-355-6253.

• Sunrise service. Elkwood Baptist Church on Alabama 127 in Elkmont will hold a Easter Community Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. today, March 31. Contact: 256-732-3162.

• Concert. Sardis Springs Baptist Church in Athens will host “A Night of Hope” featuring Kingston Drive, Channing Eleton and Will McFarlane at 6 tonight, March 31.

• Revival services. Saint Mark Primitive Baptist Church at 740 Sanderfer Road in Athens will hold a revival at 6:30 nightly April 2-4. Guest evangelist is the Rev. Jermaine Turner of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Harvest. Public invited.

• Free clothes. Saint Mark Primitive Baptist Church at 740 Sanderfer Road in Athens will hold a free clothes giveaway at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 6.

Women Day. The Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 14065 Lucas Ferry Road in Athens will celebrate Women Day at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 7. Irma Johnson, associate minister of Shiloh M.B. Church in Decatur is the guest speaker. Greater Hope’s women choir will provide music.

• Summer program. David’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 11273 Stewart Road in Tanner is taking registrations for its Operation Timothy II Summer Program for children ages 5-13. The program will be from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Cost is $200 per child. Contact: Dorothy Shoulders at 256-232-8035.

    “Holding the Fort” author Charlotte Fulton will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church Rodgers Center fellowship hall, 112 S. Jefferson St. The book traces  the history of Trinity School on Brownsferry Street, which was founded in 1865 for the education of freedmen. Refreshments at 6:30. The public is invited. Limestone County Historical Society is hosting the free event as part of their quarterly meeting.

    Hospice of Limestone County is holding patient care volunteer training Thursday July 10 and 17. Volunteers provide a presence in the homes of patients but do not provide personal care, dispense meds, lift or feed patients.
