Drop-in Storytime

Athens-Limestone Public Library will begin session two of Drop-in Storytime at 10:15 a.m. Friday. The 25-minute sessions are designed for babies, infants, and toddlers up to 18 months old and their caretakers. Each includes stories, songs, finger plays and rhymes. Free. No registration required. Jam for Jay

A fundraiser for Jay Killen, who is recovering from botulism will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday at Yesterdays, 15631 Brownsferry Road in Athens. Event includes singers, guitarists, violinists, spiritual worship groups, comedy, open mic and stew and bake sale. Contact: Bill Downs 256-431-1780.

Owens Harvest Festival

Owens Elementary School PTO will hold its Harvest Festival from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday. Games, food, music and fun. Armbands on sale in advance for $7 until Nov. 1. They are $10 at the door. Hwy 99 will perform from 3-5 p.m. in the school gym. Admission is $2 at the door. Contact: Debbie Appleton 256-431-2628 about vendor booths.

Musical festival

A music festival to benefit Ethan’s Pulling Team for Autism will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Limestone County Event Center across from the Veterans Museum. Admission is $10. Children age 12 and under enter free.  Bands include Daniel Jones, 4 p.m.; Borderline Bluegrass, 5; Just Down the Road, 6; Price Mitchell, 6:45; Tomcat and Bark the Dawg, 7; As Is No Warranty, 8; Hwy 99, 9; and Echofly, 10:30. Christmas Open House

Downtown Rogersville will be the site Satuarday of Christmas Open House.

Holiday bazaar

The Athens State University Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association will hold a holiday bazaar to raise money for scholarships and other civic projects from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Sandridge Student Center. Veterans parade entries

    Spaghetti dinner fundraiser
    Vietnam Veterans of America, chapter 511, will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday at the VVA building, 17915 W. Elm St. The $7 meal includes spaghetti, garlic toast, salad, dessert and drink. Take out or eat in. Proceeds benefit the VVA scholarship fund. More information: 256-206-5399.
