Blood drive

Blood drive

Vidalia onions order deadline

April 11 is the deadline to order Vidalia onions from Athens Ladies Civitan. Cost is $10 for 10 pounds of freshly dug onions from Georgia to arrive in early May. Call orders to: 256-777-7672 or 256-232-6086.

Rodeo queen deadline

April 11 is the deadline to submit applications for ages 3-15 for the 32nd annual Limestone Sheriff's Rodeo Queen Pageant. Deadline for ages 16-26 is May 2. Applications are available at the sheriff's office and online at www.limestonesheriffrodeo.com. Contact: Jennifer McBay 256-232-0111.

SATURDAY

Plant and bake sale

The Athens Garden Club annual Plant and Bake Sale is 8 a.m. until noon Saturday at the downtown Athens Farmers Market. A variety of plants and culinary choices available.

The event helps support the Athens Garden Club's scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors in Limestone County who major in horticulture, agriculture, or other related fields. More information: athensgardenclub@aol.com.
