— • Mount Nebo in March. Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at 27971 Easter Ferry Road in Lester will hold youth day at 2:30 p.m. today, March 24; and Easter sunrise service at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 31. Public invited.

• Anniversary. The Holt Road Baptist Church anniversary service will be at 10 a.m. today, March 24. Jimmy Grisham will speak and the Victory Singers will provide music. Lunch will follow. Public invited. Contact: Pastor James Lemay at 256-232-6160.

• Gospel writers. Peace Missionary Baptist Church at 1214 Plainview Circle in Athens will have its first 4 Gospel Writers presentation at 2:30 p.m. today, March 24. The gospels of Saints Matthew, Mark, Luke and John will be presented by ministers Jimmy Bailey, Athens; Annie Humphries, Huntsville; Sarah Curry, Mooresville; and elder Luther Earl Madry, Courtland.

• Holy Week. The public is invited to the annual Holy Week services at First Presbyterian Church March 25-29. Worship service at noon, light lunch at 12:30 p.m. A love offering will be collected. A different local minister will be the featured speaker each day.

• Celebration. Little Elks Missionary Baptist Church at 4692 Snake Road in Athens will hold its annual Seven Last Words Celebration at 7 p.m. Friday, March 29, featuring seven ministers. The church choir will provide a song service.

• Gospel singing. Union Hill Baptist Church at 25368 Union Hill Road in Ardmore, Tenn., is holding a gospel singing featuring Denis Hopkins-Jaco of Toney at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30.

• Resurrection celebration. Bright Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America will celebrate Easter with breakfast from 7-8:45 a.m. and a worship service at 9 on Sunday, March 31. The Rev. Leroy Clark of Mount Hope is the featured speaker. Contact: 256-355-6253.

• Sunrise service. Elkwood Baptist Church on Alabama 127 in Elkmont will hold a Easter Community Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 31. Contact: 256-732-3162.

• Summer program. David’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 11273 Stewart Road in Tanner is taking registrations for its Operation Timothy II Summer Program for children ages 5-13. The program will be from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Cost is $200 per child. Contact: Dorothy Shoulders at 256-232-8035.
