Holiday party library fundraiser

This year’s holiday party fundraiser for the new Athens-Limestone Public Library will be hosted by Jim and Kristi Christopher on Dec. 6, from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and include a tour of their historic home, 311 N. Jefferson St., an open bar, music and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are limited to the first 200 sold and are available at the library, 405 East South St., or online, www.athenslimestone.lib.al.us.

Rogersville Christmas parade

The Rogersville Kiwanis Christmas parade is at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7. The theme is Holiday’s for Heroes and welcomes all veterans active or retired to participate.  For more information, visit rogersvillealabama.com.

VFW turkey shoots


VFW will host  two more turkey shoots at 9 a.m. Nov. 30, and Dec. 7, weather permitting. More information: Fred 256-233-0213.

• Narcotics Anonymous. The Courage to Change Narcotics Anonymous closed meetings are ongoing and held at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Open meeting is held at 6:30 on Fridays. All are at 11309 Ripley Road in Athens. Contact:Michael 256-962-1831.
