— • Break-Through Conference. The Simply Amazing Ministries at 1609 S. Hine St. in Athens continues its 2013 Break-Through Conference at 7 tonight, May 7. Guests include speaker Apostle George Scott and musical guest Kenn Orr, Cynthia Hines & New Day, Sam’s Daughters Of Destiny, who will dance Sunday night, and Jamel Strong and Message.

• Fundraiser. Seven Mile Post Road Church at 14435 Seven Mile Post Road in Athens is holding a Power in the Blood fundraiser and blood drive from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 11. Donors are asked to claim reservation time before May 11 with LifeSouth. Blood drive in memory of Angie King White. Event includes music, yard sale, arts and crafts, food and fun for children. Booth rentals available.

• Unity tea. St. Mark Primitive Baptist Mothers Ministry requests the presence of all mothers and daughters — biological, spiritual, grand, step, in-law or whatever title possessed — at its Mother and Daughter Unity Tea at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in St. Mark’s fellowship hall, 740 Sanderfer Road, Athens. Catherine Baker of Bright Hope CPCA will minister.

• Yard sale. Tanner United Methodist Church at 19607 Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 18. Proceeds benefit the church. Contact: 256-232-0482.
