— • Lenten speakers. Lenten services including lunch are being held at noon on consecutive Wednesdays through April 9 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 207 E. Washington St., in Athens. Future speakers include: Bill Perkins, Central Church of Christ; and the Rev. David Palmer, First Presbyterian Church.

• Salem UMC yard sale. Salem United Methodist Church Women are hosting a church-wide yard sale and sausage biscuit fundraiser from 7 a.m. until midday Saturday, March 29, rain or shine. The church is on Salem-Minor Hill Road in Salem.

• Dedication. North Athens Church of Christ, formerly Tanner Hill Church of Christ, at 19159 Alabama 127, invites the public to its building dedication service “We Have Just Begun” Sunday, March 30. Morning worship is at 10 a.m., afternoon worship at 2:30.

• Singing. Truth Baptist Church will have a singing at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, featuring The Terrys, the church choir and others. More information: Pastor Donald Terry 256-233-2315.

• Gospel singing. Kelly’s Creek Baptist Church at 6 Savannah Road, Ardmore, will host a gospel singing at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 30, featuring Denise Hopkins-Jaco of Toney. More information: 256-828-0386.

• Gospel meeting. Ardmore Church of Christ, 29750 Third Ave. E., is holding a gospel meeting March 30-April 2. Speakers include Mark Nave, Alton Biley, Wilson Adams, Lowell Sallee and Jason Shackelford. The times are 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

• Jubilee. The Lebanon Community Church 19th annual Ladies Jubilee, “To everything there is a season,” will be 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 5, at the church, 13500 Lebanon Road in Elkmont. Ladies of all ages are welcome.  No admission charge. No child care provided. More information: 256-497-2379.

• Fashion show. Oak Grove C.M.E. Relay for Life Team will hold a fashion show at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 5, to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Registration is $5. More information: 256-431-2295 or 256-874-6716.
