Church Bulletin 10/20/13

• Harvest Celebration. Antioch CPCA will hold its annual Harvest Celebration at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Special guest is Pastor Kevin C. Smith and Simply Amazing Ministries Church family. The public is invited.

• Family and Friends Day. Bright Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America on Mooresville Road will celebrate Family and Friends Day at 2 p.m. Oct. 20. The Rev. Donnie Malone and New Zion Church will be in charge of the service.

• Gospel concert. Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 14065 Lucas Ferry Road will hold a gospel concert at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20, featuring choirs, male choruses, soloists, and male and female groups. The public is invited. More information: 256-230-0037.

• Gospel meeting. The gospel of Christ will be preached at the Northside Church of Christ at 1201 N. Jefferson St. with a different speaker each day Oct. 20-23. Sunday services are at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Monday through Wednesday services are at 7 p.m. Speakers include: Kasey Harbin, Sunday; Jeff May Monday; Greg Chandler,  Tuesday; and Bobby Graham, Wednesday. • Family & Friends Worship. New Life Church hosts its “Miracles on Mondays Family & Friends Worship” at 7 p.m. Oct. 21. Pastor Antoyne L. Green will preach. The New Life Church Music and Dance Ministries will minister. The public is invited.  New Life is at 2314 S. Hine St. in Athens. More information: 256-233-7228 or 468-1539.

• Women’s Ministry. The Pleasant Grove Leading Ladies Women’s Ministry will meet at 10 a.m. Oct. 26. Meika Jude will deliver a message on “Harvest Season.” The public is invited. Pleasant Grove CP Church is located at 15439 Hastings Road in Athens.

• Celebration. Poplar Creek Missionary Baptist Church at 16031 Poplar Creek Road in Athens will hold its Ushers Annual Celebration at 2 p.m. Oct. 27. Pastor Grissom and Oak Grove CMC will be in charge of the service.

• Jamboree. Pleasant Grove Church Family at 15439 Hastings Road in Athens will hold its Hallelujah Jamboree on Oct. 30. Dinner at 5 p.m. The party is from 6-8. Singers include Anointed Voices, Sacrificial Praise and many more including a special surprise guest. The public is invited.
