Holiday Home Tour

Athens Ladies Civitan Club is selling tickets for their Holiday Home Tour to be held from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. For information on homes to be toured and ticket locations, contact Carolyn Stair 256-233-0258 or Carol Malone 256-232-2865.

“Crowns” ad deadline extended

The deadline to advertise in the souvenir program for the Frank Travis production of the musical gospel “Crowns” has been extended to Wednesday, Dec. 5. Proceeds benefit Athens-Limestone Community Association’s Fort Henderson/Trinity School Project. Ads can be placed with Carolyn Williams 256-777-9727 or Richard Martin 256-278-1262.

MEETINGS 

• Athens Forge. Athens Blacksmith Forge will meet at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 24, at Travis Flemings Artistic Anvil Forge on Commercial Drive in Athens. Visitors welcome. Meeting includes group project to make or attach legs to propane forges built at previous meeting. Contact: John Guenther 256-431-3862 or 256-230-2900.
