    Usery benefit
    A softball tournament benefit to help cover burial expenses for Melissa Usery will begin between 8 and 9 a.m. Saturday at Owens ballfield. Entry fee is $150 per team and can include five men/five women per team. Chicken plates will be available at 11 a.m. that include sides and drink. Hot dogs/hamburgers also available.     Summer Art Stroll

    An Athens Arts League Summer Art Stroll will be 4-8 p.m. Friday on the Limestone County Courthouse lawn on The Square. This is a free, family-friendly event that includes music on the lawn and 25 artists including painters, ceramicists, jewelry makers, mixed media and textile artists.
