Kiwanis Hamburger Day

The Kiwanis Club Hamburger Day will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at Big Spring Memorial Park. A loaded charbroiled hamburger with chips, drink and dessert is $5. Serving rain or shine. Proceeds sponsor children’s programs within the community.

Benefit breakfast

The Bethel, Tenn. Lodge No. 194 F&AM buffet breakfast to benefit charity will be held from 7-9 a.m. Saturday at the Lodge building. The public is invited. Non-perishable food items are being collected for the food bank.

Coffee Call

The Friends of Athens-Limestone Public Library will hold a used book sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the library.

Music and dance

Cemetery stroll

The Athens City Cemetery Stroll on Hobbs Street will be held from 2-5 p.m.  Sunday. “Spirits” of former residents will be portrayed by their descendents. It’s a free event but donations are accepted toward repair of several cemetery sites. Contact: Athens-Limestone Visitors Center at 256-232-5411.

Reyer reunion

Reyer family descendents are invited to a family reunion Sunday at the First National Bank Community Room at 26559 Main St. in Ardmore, Tenn. A covered dish lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

Wild Game Cook-Off

The 16th annual Alabama Wildlife Federation Wild Game Cook-Off will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ingalls Harbor in Decatur. Cook teams compete in Fish, Fowl and Game divisions. Bluegrass concert

Dog food for The Humane Society of Limestone County Fall Dog Food Drive can be dropped off at Annette’s Loving Touch Groom & Board on Jefferson Street behind Subway.
